MINGLING POST
[I hope that everyone in Accord has wish-machine'd up some sweaters, because it's getting cold outside! especially around the Tower, what with all those delightful ocean winds around to make things extra-chilly. it's not so bad indoors, though. the Stewards have been doing a good job of keeping the place nice and warm for you.
so what has the crazy tower bunch been up to? jumping in leaf piles? huddling inside for warmth? trying to break the world record for most cookies baked in a week? plotting to murder everyone with horrible death magic? there's plenty to be doing and plenty of people to bother, so go talk to your neighbors! make a friend, or talk to someone you haven't seen in a while! or just, you know, stumble awkwardly into their business. that works too.]
[[ooc: aw yeah, mingling post! make your own comment, tag other people's comments, go crazy!]]

Arms folded tight across his chest to keep out what bit of the cold he can, he's strolling and observing the late autumn foliage as if he's surrounded by springtime flowers. And when he does spot greenery that is still clinging to its color and life? ...He reaches out, touches it, inspects it... and then smiles as it shrivels and goes as lifeless as everything around it.
Just making sure that nature is doing what she should be right now.]

so he still approaches, but he looks much less cheery about it.]
...You look like you're having fun.
[which, in itself, is a dangerous statement.]
no subject
[oh, he does seem to be in a good mood, and completely oblivious (or ignorant) of Robin's sour one. He glances over with an easy smile]
Oh, I'm just enjoying the nice weather.
no subject
[he looks up at the sky. so you're to blame, huh, biome...]
But I suppose you didn't strike me as any particular season, so.
no subject
[picking at a nice dead leaf]
It tends to be my favorite.
no subject
[he'll start to wander off in the direction he'd been going anyway.]
The poor things never stood a chance.
no subject
It's not morbid, it's nature. ...Does it bother you?
no subject
[he puts his hands up behind his head. totally not bothered. nope.]
no subject
[and his hands get stuffed idly into his pockets. there's really nothing interesting about this conversation, nope.]
So, what's the difference?
no subject
[oh no you don't. he is not getting dragged into one of THESE conversations.]
no subject
Oh. Alright.
[...he'll just go back to it, then. reaching out and nudging living things off this mortal coil while he strolls along]
no subject
[YES OKAY HE'S BOTHERED.]
no subject
...I thought there was no difference.

Dude, did you just kill that plant?
[she sounds. fascinated.]
no subject
He sends her a smug little smile. With the touches of makeup he's picked out for today, and the way his face doesn't really pink up in the cold, he just ends up looking hypothermic]
I... encouraged it into hibernation.
[yes, he totally just killed that plant.]
no subject
[she gets all up-close to the plant, like she can figure it out through this poor dead thing. she'll pick a dead leaf off of it for science.]
no subject
I'm just doing my job.
[as if he cares at all about his job]
no subject
[she stops peering at the dead plant and looks back up at his face, squinting a little at the way he doesn't seem to be colored completely right. but she ends up batting her eyelashes all cute and smiiiling up at him.]
You should do that again.
no subject
He really doesn't need to be encouraged.
It goes right to his head. He gives her just this... fond little smirk, before looking around for another target.
He spots a sapling that is still spending energy into getting as much growth done as it can before the frost sets in and really kills off its leaves. So, there are still obvious touches of green, little leaves more yellow than brown. It probably won't survive the encouragement he offers, but... well, there are plenty of other saplings around.
So, he shows off as requested, wrapping ungloved fingers around the skinny trunk, putting forth a little concentration... and then smiling as the little fluctuation of energy smothers the life out of it. The colors slowly drain and a few of the leaves dry up and drop off immediately]
no subject
[as soon as he's done sending out death energy, she creeps closer to the deceased sapling. she also... smells the air, which even she seems to think is a little odd.]
Man, that smells really good. Is that weird?
no subject
...Yes, I think it is.
no subject
[she makes a face, leaning over to pluck up one of the shriveled, dead leaves from the ground. after thinking about it for maybe three seconds, she pops it in her mouth. and chews on it.]
no subject
[yeah, no he's got nothing.
really, she's managed speechlessness out of him.
...she didn't even pick a leaf off the tree. she picked it off the ground.]
no subject
Man. [crunch. crunch. swallow.] That was way tastier than it had any right to be.
no subject
[it's not a question, really. He's just... yeah, he's still pretty unsettled. In that kind of grossed out way.
He'd like to think that it's a pretty normal reaction to watching a girl randomly crunch on recently-killed leaves.
...Which is maybe kind of funny, because he'd be much more understanding if she'd started chewing on animal carrion instead]
