There is a theory that time moves in circles, and history repeats itself. Here you find yourself awakening in a strange bed, in a new world, kept fed and clothed by metal men in a mysterious mechanical tower. Perfect in its mysterious function, the gears always turn. The sun always rises, just as surely as it always sets. There are people on the mainland who live just as steeped in this tradition as the rest of the world; water turns to steam, which turns to water again. They wake up, they go about their lives, they come home, they sleep, they do it all again the next day.

No one talks about your tower. No one talks about you. No one knows what you're talking about--that place is sacred, that place is trouble, that place is none of their business.
