[ If you looked up at the sky in the last hour or so you may have noticed the dragon that was flying about, spreading her wings and all that. She couldn't help herself anymore, she needed to fly.

And once she was done stretching her wings and all that jazz she landed nearby the castle, clearly not giving a crap about subtly. Then the dragon started to glow and in a brilliant light display shifted into a woman.

So now there's a lady where a dragon once stood idly stretching her human limbs on the lawn. Whatever will you do? ]

[he doesn't say anything for a moment, but he is annoyed. He was sure he was right]

Halfblood?

A little closer.

[he, however, is not so amused. He was not expecting to get this wrong, and he's kind of a sort loser.

...There's just a pause, at the moment, while he tries to think of what could possibly be closer]

Would you like me to simply tell you and put an end to this guessing game?

[since he's not really about to admit defeat. :\]

I am a pure blooded dragon, one of the Kilganth; the first to be reborn when my world was remade. I can only imagine it is because we hail from different worlds that we encounter the trouble we have.

...What?

[there is a very long and very aggravated pause... before, finally, a huff.

Letting a few things spin around in his head, but eventually has to give up waiting for them to click together]

But this just doesn't make any sense. This should not be possible.

[he should not have lost this stupid game.]

It shouldn't, but yet it is happening.

[he needs to let this stew for a minute, because this is a rather world-changing revelation]

So, you are somehow a dragon entirely different and set apart from all that I know?

It appears that way.

Who do you believe created you? Where did you come from?

[still entirely disbelieving, but at least some of the curiosity is coming back now]

My world does not possess a name, as despite once working together the gods do not agree on much. It was they who created us, among many other beasts and creatures.

'They.' ...Do you not know which one of them created you? Were you not created for some sort of purpose?

[voice taking on a bit of an edge, then... but what sort of edge is a little difficult to tell. He can't decide whether or not he is upset, fascinated, excited, angry]

Artemis most likely, we do not commune with the gods nor do they commune with us. Our purpose was to protect, to defend, to observe the lower races, to ensure the world was not destroyed again.

[again, he's quiet for a very long moment. It almost seems as though he's left the conversation entirely, for a little bit.

Finally, he returns to himself]

...Where are you?

May I see you?

...I am outside the Tower.

[finding himself relieved when she agrees, he will be heading out there without delay. He uses the trip down there to decide exactly what he's going to do once he gets there, as it is a little up in the air at the moment. He's acting a little more on impulse right now]

[he doesn't realize that some part of him had been expecting her to have run off, until he finds himself pleasantly surprised to find her there waiting for him.

He nods her a greeting, but is apparently skipping most of the other formalities, walking right up to her, looking her over as he does so]

...I don't know if I will ever quite be able to believe this.

Truthfully I do not blame you.

[she doesn't look all that different, and--when he steps a little inside comfortable conversation range as he has done before--he still doesn't sense much from her. Not compared to what he should be able to sense, anyway. And so, it is all the things that are not there that has him looking at her a bit wonderingly.]

I can't imagine it-- a dragon not created for and bound to the things I know.

[and then he steps back a little, a smile finally creeping onto his face]

...Can you show me?

Very well.

[he takes some steps backward as she shifts, watching not with the surprise and wariness of someone who is watching something they have never seen before, but with the excitement of someone who knows exactly what it is that they are witnessing, and are eager to see the result.

When her full form does unfurl, he can't hide his surprise-- and a moment of something that seems maybe something akin to nervous. In his eyes, that gleaming ivory hide of hers strikes a chord he didn't quite expect]

--Amazing.

[aside from that little bit of edginess, he seems only extremely pleased with what he sees. And, that little bit of edginess really has nothing to do with the fact that she's a dragon anyway--]

Your scales... they're white.
