[I hope that everyone in Accord has wish-machine'd up some sweaters, because it's getting cold outside! especially around the Tower, what with all those delightful ocean winds around to make things extra-chilly. it's not so bad indoors, though. the Stewards have been doing a good job of keeping the place nice and warm for you.

so what has the crazy tower bunch been up to? jumping in leaf piles? huddling inside for warmth? trying to break the world record for most cookies baked in a week? plotting to murder everyone with horrible death magic? there's plenty to be doing and plenty of people to bother, so go talk to your neighbors! make a friend, or talk to someone you haven't seen in a while! or just, you know, stumble awkwardly into their business. that works too.]

Well, now, I'll take that compliment gladly, though be warned to not throw yourself into flattery, really. Even though I have to say, I am flattered all the same.

[He puts his free hand in a pocket, smiling over at Tek as he walks closer to him.]

What's the use of blending in? That's boring. Be yourself and let nothing stand in your way, that's what I always say.

[and this... leads him to glancing up at the umbrella] ...Which, makes me wonder where that comes in. A fashion statement, maybe?

[He shrugs at the question, twirling his umbrella slightly in his hand.]

A fashion statement, a little protection against the weather...it's like good art, really. I use it to allow people assume the meaning of it by themselves.

There aren't enough people around here who are interesting enough to be complimented, so it's frankly nice to be able.

[and then a few moments to really muse over that umbrella, canting his head to the side. He can really identify with that thought on a couple of levels]

That is very true, and I am thankful to have found a person who fits that definition well, too.

[Oh, this back and forth of flattery, will it never stop? And his smile never leaves as he watches Tek look over it, even twisting it slightly, as if to help him get a good look at all it has to offer.]

I'm very glad it did. I'll have to thank it later. [The tone in that last sentence clearly implies that was a joke.]

[he offers his hand, though his ungloved fingers are probably pretty cold. That is what people tend to do around here for introductions, isn't it?]

[If the coldness of Tek's fingers bothers him, Kaspiel doesn't at all show it- he shakes Tek's hand curtly, bowing his head slightly.]

It's an interesting name. Where are you from? [even though he knows that the odds of recognizing it are terribly low]

Oh, I have heard that before. I know of at least one other person from there.

The name of my home is Nor, however.
