[I hope that everyone in Accord has wish-machine'd up some sweaters, because it's getting cold outside! especially around the Tower, what with all those delightful ocean winds around to make things extra-chilly. it's not so bad indoors, though. the Stewards have been doing a good job of keeping the place nice and warm for you.

so what has the crazy tower bunch been up to? jumping in leaf piles? huddling inside for warmth? trying to break the world record for most cookies baked in a week? plotting to murder everyone with horrible death magic? there's plenty to be doing and plenty of people to bother, so go talk to your neighbors! make a friend, or talk to someone you haven't seen in a while! or just, you know, stumble awkwardly into their business. that works too.]

Wah wah, it's cold outside and I'm a big-- [oh, that comfy orange glow is coming from the fireplace. She can see it clearly now.

What the hell is fire doing in the fireplace??

So, her happy expression disappears and she scrambles back again]

--Jesus Christ what the fuck are you doing??

[...yeah. he looks back at the fireplace, sloooowly considering, before he looks back at Tabby. he's not sure whether to be smug or just... disappointed.]

Oh, you know. Enjoying myself.

Problem?

[just like had happened with the lighter, she doesn't stop retreating until she can't see the fire anymore. Back to where she was when the couch was blocking her view, but skin still crawling with agitation]

Is that really goddamn necessary? I thought that fuckin' thing was just for show.

[seriously why is there fire in the tower? who said this was okay?]

[...he sinks down along the back of the couch. very languid-like.]

Shut the door and I'll get rid of it.

[she doesn't even hesitate. She doesn't bother putting up a fight or throwing a fit about it. Just growls and stomps back the way she came so she can slam the stupid thing shut]

There. Happy now?

Happier. Back towards the stairs, please.

[and, of course, he can't just put out the fire the normal way. he's drawing blood over here, even if it's just a little. blood magic as usual.]

...Back toward the stairs?

[she crosses her arms]

Just some. [he shrugs.] Further into the room, at least.

[paaainting with blood on the back of his hand, la la la :D]

[edging in... but still staying so far away. She really doesn't want to accidentally catch sight of that fire again from over the back of the couch]

[oh, good. he makes a fist with that hand, and the fire goes out. just like that.]

That's almost hilariously inconvenient.

[and then, because that doesn't seem to be quite enough to make her feel better, she has to tack on a totally necessary--] Fuck you.

[and then she'll brave actually coming closer. Heading for the couch, but kind of also keeping her eye on the fireplace]

[his blood is busy being sucked back up through his wound. he looks only vaguely smug about the whole thing.]

[she leans on the back of the couch, but her eyes are still mostly on the fireplace]

Yeah, was wondering if you'd lost your goddamned mind.

[...since she can't remember that she'd really said anything else before the fire happened]

Should I expect you to burst through the door at any moment? Always?

It wasn't ages. [finally clambering over the back of the couch now]

So I'm back now. ...So no more fuckin' fire.

[he sighs, tilting his head once in both directions.]
