[I hope that everyone in Accord has wish-machine'd up some sweaters, because it's getting cold outside! especially around the Tower, what with all those delightful ocean winds around to make things extra-chilly. it's not so bad indoors, though. the Stewards have been doing a good job of keeping the place nice and warm for you.

so what has the crazy tower bunch been up to? jumping in leaf piles? huddling inside for warmth? trying to break the world record for most cookies baked in a week? plotting to murder everyone with horrible death magic? there's plenty to be doing and plenty of people to bother, so go talk to your neighbors! make a friend, or talk to someone you haven't seen in a while! or just, you know, stumble awkwardly into their business. that works too.]

[well hey. how's it going, buddy.

there is a vaguely Monster-sized rock in the lawn that wasn't there before. and every once in a while, when said rock thinks that Kaspiel isn't looking, it sliiiides a little closer.

Monster's shapeshifting disguises are... well, he's working his way up, okay. :/]

[Oh, Kaspiel definitely notices, and he actually lets out a huff whenever Monster doesn't think he's looking. He doesn't need eyes to look, you know.]

[After a few minutes of that, he'll just go and walk over, putting his foot on the rock as he leans in, smooth words pouring from his tongue.]

You know, that's a nice try, but...a bit too conspicuous, for my liking.

[oh... he's been found out! and it's rather confusing; he had the feeling he was getting a little annoyed, but now his words sound all pretty. what a bizarre person.

though now he's kind of literally trapped underfoot. he's been found out, so... his mass rearranges until he is once again a kid-like person, lying on the ground with a foot on his chest.]

Mrhmm... Is Monster in trouble?

[oh, and telepathy. that's a thing.]

Oh no, not in trouble.

[When that mass rearranges, Kaspiel just gives Monster a little smile, taking his foot off- it's not polite to keep it on him, is it? No, not at all.]

[The telepathy is interesting, but Kaspiel chooses to answer by tongue-he's always been better at using that, anyways. He leans back, looking like he's resisting the urge to let out a laugh.]

Not in trouble at all. I'm just giving you advice. You know...for the next time.

[see now, that sounds like something Tabby Mom might say! so he brightens up a little, springing up to sit and look up at this guy and his big umbrella.]

Mm! Monster will think of something much better...

Yes. You go do that.

[And he reaches over and pets Monster's head like he's a puppy that's just brought him back a fetched stick.]

[OH HE FLINCHES. for the two seconds it takes him to realize he's receiving positive attention, anyway. then he's quite pleased with himself.]

What is Mister doing out here?

[He chuckles at that, leaning back to his regular stance as he looks over the fall landscape with a slight smile.]

Just enjoying the fall weather, of course. Aren't you?

Mmm... Monster doesn't know. It's cold.

[which is something he's trying very hard to wrap his head around.]

Indeed it is. It's called "winter". The season, I mean. It always gets cold during winter.

ALWAYS always?

Well, it depends on where you live. In some places it's much warmer, but yes, always and always it'll be colder than it was in summer, even though one might not think it's very cold at all, in some places in the world.
