❦ 01

[though it very much seems otherwise, he knows that it can't actually be a dream because of how immediately and distinctly not right he feels upon finding himself in this decadent little room. Doing his best to remain calm, he pokes around, finding an exceedingly strange book with his name on it, peeking through drawers and listening for sounds. Eventually, his search leads him out into hall of faceless doorways, down some stairs, and into a sprawling lobby. Just wandering, hypersensitive and quiet, until he hopefully walks into something that makes some sense. Just stay calm...

He finally stops when he reaches a window, staring--a little shellshocked--at nothing but fog. ...And there he stays for some time, silent in deeply unsettled thought.

Finally, he suddenly remembers the book in his hands. It gives him something to fiddle with, fidgeting with the little clockwork gears until something finally clicks into place and the thing falls suddenly open]

...That seems a bit much.

[and the book helpfully jots down his words for him]

--Oh.

[there is no way this could be a good sign]

[he straightens at the first thing, but remains initially silent at the second. it takes him a moment to figure out what to say.]

I am from very far away, in a place no one will find me.

But my world is called Gratia.

It's pretty weird.

[which may as well be in response to the first and the second.]

That's what Adel says. I don't... know if he's right or wrong. But it feels different, doesn't it?

[identity profile] birdmetaphor.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
[the first two words kind of sound familiar (more of the first), but he thinks he understands them in the wrong way. they aren't special to him. and the other two... are completely foreign. he shakes his head a little.]

No. [...he holds his hand out. he would like his grimoire back.] But I am just a kid.

[identity profile] birdmetaphor.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
[he takes the book back, wobbling forward as the weight is dropped in his hands, and then intentionally falling backwards onto the chair cushion with an 'oof' sound. ...and there he stays, staring at the ceiling for a moment.]

Hey... Do you know where they keep cookies around here?

[identity profile] birdmetaphor.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
[he will be very quiet and try to think of where in the kitchen he could find cookies. ...probably the kitchen, anyway. this would be so much easier if he knew what they were.]

[identity profile] birdmetaphor.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
Probably dead.

[... wait that was probably not the right answer.]

Definitely not here.

[identity profile] birdmetaphor.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 02:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[he likes this guy. so far.]

I better go find them, then. Euri will get mad...

[he picks up his thing(s) and sits up.]

El set't da y'fiz. [which Tek can bizarrely understand as meaning "everything will work out all right" and "don't worry".]

[identity profile] birdmetaphor.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm. [he'll take it.

with that concluded he'll slide off the couch and wander back off to the kitchen before Adel can find him. C:]
