[I hope that everyone in Accord has wish-machine'd up some sweaters, because it's getting cold outside! especially around the Tower, what with all those delightful ocean winds around to make things extra-chilly. it's not so bad indoors, though. the Stewards have been doing a good job of keeping the place nice and warm for you.

so what has the crazy tower bunch been up to? jumping in leaf piles? huddling inside for warmth? trying to break the world record for most cookies baked in a week? plotting to murder everyone with horrible death magic? there's plenty to be doing and plenty of people to bother, so go talk to your neighbors! make a friend, or talk to someone you haven't seen in a while! or just, you know, stumble awkwardly into their business. that works too.]

[he awkwardly moves his fingers, trying to remember what hooves even look like... and what kinds of things eat grass...]

Oh, like pigs. Monster knows pigs.

[he rolls backwards to hang upside-down from the tree branch. nevermind that he's now facing the wrong way, he'll just arch his head back more to see!]

But now it's broken because it's dead? Hrmm.

[Seriously, kid? You're going to hurt yourself one day.]

They tend to be a little more brittle when without muscles.

[he somehow scrambles his way back up on top of the tree branch, laying there like a dead cat.]

Monster was looking for Tabby Mom because he is done playing in snow. But Monster found Scary Gabe first!

[He enjoys that nickname, kiddo.]

What did you do in the snow? Snowmen?

[He.. kind of remembers being a dad.]

Monster ate it.

[the snow, not the snowman. ...but he might have eaten the snowman too, if he had one.]

And then Tabby Mom explained snow... ball... fights. And Monster doesn't like fighting, but it was okay because it's just snow, which Monster figured out is frozen...

...Mm, Monster feels like he did a lot of things.

[He glances over at Monster.]

You should eat something else than snow, too.

...Monster is hungry...

Monster used to eat human flesh... [he sucks distractedly on one of his fingers. mmm, human flesh...] But Monster doesn't do that anymore.

Nothing wrong with a little cannibalism.

[Hey, he's a damn zombie. Living flesh eating is kind of his thing.]

What else do you eat?

Mmhrm... [he's eaten a lot of things. some of them have not been very good.] Monster eats a lot of things! Tabby Mom gives him food, and Monster likes eating things in the kitchen.

Tabby Mom also fed him rocks, once. Monster did not like those as much. They were very heavy.

If Tabby feeds you rocks again, I'll rip her claws off.

[He frown and then looks around, trying to see if he can stab an animal.]

[Monster frowns a little at that, balancing awkwardly so that he can look at his own fingers. mhrrm, he thinks they're rotting off again.]

...But Tabby Mom needs fingers. Don't take her fingers, okay? Claws are okay but not fingers.

Tch. She'll deal.

[He draws a throwing knife and then throws it towards the nearest bird.]

There. Better than rocks.

[bandagesplz]

...oh.

[given that the poor bird is now mostly-dead on the ground with a knife sticking out of it, Monster makes little buzzing noises while he thinks about it... and eventually scuttles down out of the tree.]

Sorry, birdie. Uhm-- [he looks over at Gabe and his horrible monster horse before he looks back at the bird.] No one will be angry?

Nobody will be angry. It's food, kid. Most people eat it, even if they cook it first.

[...if it's okay, then he'll patter over to the thing, pick it up by it's tail feathers, and then stuff it in his mouth.

his horrible, gaping, toothless black hole of a mouth. doesn't chew it or swallow it because there's nothing in there anyway except blackness. and then he closes his mouth and fidgets with his fingers a little, and trots back over to Gabe.]

Monster is less hungry.
