MINGLING POST
[I hope that everyone in Accord has wish-machine'd up some sweaters, because it's getting cold outside! especially around the Tower, what with all those delightful ocean winds around to make things extra-chilly. it's not so bad indoors, though. the Stewards have been doing a good job of keeping the place nice and warm for you.
so what has the crazy tower bunch been up to? jumping in leaf piles? huddling inside for warmth? trying to break the world record for most cookies baked in a week? plotting to murder everyone with horrible death magic? there's plenty to be doing and plenty of people to bother, so go talk to your neighbors! make a friend, or talk to someone you haven't seen in a while! or just, you know, stumble awkwardly into their business. that works too.]
[[ooc: aw yeah, mingling post! make your own comment, tag other people's comments, go crazy!]]

[he pretends to sound surprised, though he doesn't particularly care if she buys it or not]
Why not?
no subject
She just shrugged.
Because. That's why.]
Cuz.
no subject
Do you dislike it because it's cold, or do you really have something against the aesthetics of it?
[because people seem to get the two mixed up a lot around here. complaining about one when their problem is really with the other]
no subject
That's what you get for asking too many questions.]
Too white.
no subject
Fine, point taken.
He'll take a slightly different approach to things, then]
...I can't help but imagine that you must be terribly bored, here.
no subject
Then she gives a quick jerk of a nod.
SO bored. So very, very bored.]
no subject
Well, then why are you spending so much time avoiding and turning away things that could be fun? Or, at least entertaining enough to spend your time on.
no subject
Two quick steps - after her mind was made up - sets her solidly at his side. A questioning tilt of her head and lift of an eyebrow tell him to go on.]
no subject
But, he's only going to look deeply smug about it for a minute. He has work to do, here.]
Now, see... I could have all kinds of suggestions for you right now, but I hardly know a thing about you.
All I really know is your name, the fact that you have a wonderful talent, and that you have a particular dislike for snow. ...So, how about cluing me into something that you find fun, or would like to spend your time on?
no subject
Her lips purse as she tries to pinpoint something that would be of proper interest. Then it occurs to her. The dead bodies, the paintings, the beauty.
A dark smile spreads over her face, slow and gentle as the falling snow.]
Art.
no subject
He wants to walk and talk--mostly to see if he can get her to comply enough to go along--so he takes a step toward the stairs and nods for her follow]
Ah, that sounds like something that I'm sure I can help with.
Would you call yourself an artist, or just an art enthusiast?
no subject
Her lip curls at being called simply an 'art enthusiast.' As an artist she strove for perfection in all of it's forms. An impossible task when organs were generally asymmetrical.]
...The first.
no subject
And what, precisely, is your area of expertise?
no subject
Painting, obviously. But there was no way for her to explain it well succinctly, so she didn't bother to try at all.]
no subject
Have you been into the city yet?
no subject
It hadn't seemed quite worth the trip, yet.]
no subject
Oh, well... no wonder you're bored.
You obviously have no idea what you're missing.
no subject
Oh? No. She couldn't be missing that much.
Could she?]
no subject
You arrived with a ring of money, yes? Do you still have it?
[if she even recognized the odd things as currency. It'd taken him a while to figure that part out]
no subject
That thing that jangled loudly and she disliked? A slow nod for yes.]
...Defenestrated.
[She hadn't liked it.]
no subject
...Wonderful. You're poor.
[and then a sigh! Seeming put-out about the whole thing, because look how generous he is--]
You'll need someone to cover the ride on the tram, then. ...Do you feel like going on a little trip?
no subject
Did they have to take the tram? He seemed to think they did. And he wanted a trip...
She gave a slow nod. Not uncertain about her answer but hesitant to give it.]
no subject
Then, it's settled. We'll go see exactly what it is that you've been missing.
Do you have something warm to wear? I'm going to hop upstairs and grab my coat.
no subject
Instead of saying that, Jinx just nodded and turned on her toe to go and get... something.]
no subject
[yay, a trip into the city! And with a reason to do so--that's what he's most excited about. Work has been slow, and everyone gets so crabby when it's cold, it's nice to have something fun to look forward to.
So, he's quick about grabbing his coat and touching up the little bit of makeup he's wearing. He'll be back down in the lobby in a few minutes.]
