He's got vague recollections of memory at best, all the nostalgia in the world...and the desire to cook something because he is so sure he knows how to do this.

Unfortunately confidence and ability are two different things and it looks like the cast;e hasn't quite fixed everything all up the way it ought to be--he's sort of rifling through the cupboards aimlessly and more or less just putting piles of unsorted ingredients in pots. ]
