[the grimoire falls open, catching a surprised little--] Mm!

[and then a very worried mumble. followed by... what sounds like soft wings flapping.


...and so, there is now what seems to be a fuzzy little moth girl fluttering aimlessly into random corners of the lobby, bouncing in confusion off the walls and windows, only managing to hop and hover a few feet off the ground at a time]

[all things considered, the slightly bleedy kid that just showed up is not nearly as surprised to see a tiny moth girl as he should be. he will still crouch down near the wall, though.]

He hasn't seen her before. No, no flying before. Hrrm...

Monster monster must be new.

[FLUTTERflutterfluuter whoop suddenly finds herself clumsily up on top of a bookshelf now. she folds up all her limbs so she actually fits up there, and finally sits still. peeking over the side at the bleedy kid... she frowns at him!]

[bandagesplz]

[...he waves his hand a little.]

Hello. She is much better at flying than Monster. Monster is impressed.

[wingdust]

[her antennae twitch while she thinks and tastes the air.

...nope, this still doesn't make sense. Nothing smells familiar, she doesn't know where she is, and this kid certainly isn't anybody she knows.

However, she does hope--quite loudly--that he knows the answers to these questions and will tell her]

[RAISES HIS HAND UP IN THE AIR.]

Monster knows! Moth girl is in the tower called Accord.

[a tower??]

Mm!

[she straightens up! what kind of tower? is it a wizard tower??]

[bandagesplz]

[oops lowering his hand.]

Oh... Monster doesn't know that part.

What's a wizard tower?

[oh, he's just sitting on a couch somewhere, reading. doing a spectacular job at ignoring what must be a big moth flying around or something. must not be important.]

[wingdust]

[oh hey the big fluttery sounds disappear, because whatever it was is suddenly much more bug-sized now. Now it's just a regular tiny moth, ambling around through the air... toward a delicious little beacon of magical energy!

doop doop, fluttering on over toward that thing that stands out like a big giant bullseye--a little nexus of energy that is calling! Must touch it, must land there, mmm gonna bask on it...

and this thing that she just must go land on happens to be the middle of Robin's forehead. Just gonna float down and suddenly park there--boop!--immediately shoving in the thought of HI! :D]

[see? totally a moth. he was totally right.

and then it's hovering around his face, floating on down--by the time it lands on his face, he's got a pretty good idea that he's going to pluck this guy off by its wing, which is a perfectly good idea until it suddenly talks at him.

which makes him jump a little, because moths don't do that.] --whahuh?

[wingdust]

[Robin jumps a little and that makes the moth float up off his head in surprise!

...but then it comes right back, dropping down onto his forehead again and repeating itself]

Hi!

[...well this is the weirdest thing that's happened this week.]

...Hi.

[wingdust]

[the moth is happy! that much is clear, the feeling of it humming right into his head.

...in fact, the moth is so happy, that it's just gonna sit there and do nothing else!

just getting comfy in the middle of his forehead and being happy. yep.]

[nurturing]

[My, that was an odd sound. It was a little bit like a bird, but a lot softer. The mage turns his head in the direction of the sound and smiles a bit, curious.]

Hello?

[wingdust]

[she has kind of... awkwardly fluttered up onto the back of a couch, stilling where she's perched there for a minute when she hears the voice. ...Oh! And notices that he's magical~

Momentarily forgetting the fact that she really should be doing something important right now, like figuring out where she is, she tumbleflutters off the couch and hopflutters over to him. And then around him in an excited little circle.]

[nurturing]

[He listens to her fluttering, a little bit amused. This really was a big bird - or a butterfly.]

My, you're energetic. Be careful so you do not injure yourself.

[wingdust]

[oh, good thought! She'd heard that warning often enough--fluttering around the workshop and forgetting that she was sometimes girl-sized, both delicate wings and delicate magical equipment at risk. So, she obeys immediately, skipping to a stop in front of him, hands clasped together and hugged to her chest like she has to physically hold herself still]

[nurturing]

There you go.

[Another smile, and he reaches out a hand to her after letting go of his magic book, letting it hand from the chain in his belt.]

Are you lost?

[wingdust]

[there's a mumbly sound, which could either be some sort of answer or just a sound interest when her attention drifts from him to the book.

Instead of doing anything about his outstretched hand, she ducks around it so she can reach and try to touch the cool magic book!]

[but_heflied]

[The Moth is just leaning against a wall in the middle of a hallway, lost in his own thoughts, when the sound of the wings catches his attention instantly. He turns, trying to locate where is came from, and starts walking down the hallway.]

Could've sworn that I heard...

[Wait a second...what in the world is that fluttering around? A moth? Not a moth? He blinks, confused.]

What the-?

[wingdust]

[she hears a voice and automatically flutters still, sticking close to the wall like her mothish instincts tell her too.

...unfortunately, she's currently mostly in the form of a small girl, so crouching down against the wall really doesn't do much to help her hide. Watching this guy now with wide eyes!]

[but_heflied]

[He wanders over but keeps a good distance, watching her with an interested stare.]

Hey...hey, I won't hurt you.

[He lifts up his hands as if to show he means no harm, voice softer than usual.]

What are you?

[wingdust]

[luckily, she's pretty easy to convince. So, after that little reassurance, she pops back up to her feet and hop-skip-flutters over to him. She stops just a couple feet in front of him, hands fidgeted together and hugged to her chest while she inspects him from that short distance, antennae wavering in his direction]

[He bends down slightly so he's a little bit more on her level, though his height still dwarfs her by far. There's a pause as he looks her over- yes, she looked exactly like the insects the humans called him after. How odd.]

...Can you speak?

[wingdust]

[she smiles and perks up in that sudden way that seems like it would be a 'yes'... but there's no nod or verbal response to accompany it]
