✝ 004
[he's been quiet lately due to some recent events and all... and hey, he's keeping that up. Robin can be found in the Orrery, preoccupied with gazing at the giant model of the universe spinning above him. the Stewards have done a pretty good job of fixing most of it. you almost couldn't tell anything had happened.
...bothers him a little. come bother him out of his thoughts, if you want!]

Sure. It's quiet in here.

[he'll continue until his wandering path brings him more or less to Robin's side. And then eyes are back up to the orrery itself, watching it from Robin's vantage point now]
...What do you suppose it's for?
no subject
Science, I'm sure. It's of no use to me, this universe only vaguely resembles the one I know.
no subject
[like Robin, he's looking at the mechanism, but his attention is decidedly somewhere else]
Still, I'm not surprised to find you here.

[ah, the smirking. he really does enjoy talking to you, Robin. you make it fun.]
I don't need to know anything about your personality to know that you are important.
no subject
[he is happy to provide.]

[and, on that note, as if it's not related at all--]
--I've thought of a way to describe it, by the way.

[at least--that's his theory. he just needed the hint, now he's re-evaluating what he'd assumed about it earlier.]
But if you have a better explanation, by all means... Please do feel free to share.
no subject
I think the easiest way to explain it is... very much like cobwebs. It's a tactile thing.

[ah, and something else sort of clicks into place, then. Giving a short glance up to the orrery again as if noticing it for the first time, he hops topics without warning--]
...Were you here to see it? [turning to look at Robin, tilting his head a little so he can really see his face]
no subject
Not quite.

You knew them, then. [...] At the very least.
