[he doesn't realize that some part of him had been expecting her to have run off, until he finds himself pleasantly surprised to find her there waiting for him.

He nods her a greeting, but is apparently skipping most of the other formalities, walking right up to her, looking her over as he does so]

...I don't know if I will ever quite be able to believe this.
